SHOW RULES

Exhibiting

The show is open to local residents and all entries must be made in the name of the person who

grew/made them.

All flowers, trees, shrubs, fruit and vegetables must be grown by you. 

The only exception is in the flower arranging, where you can use materials to 

hand or that you have bought, unless otherwise specified.

The Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage.

Judging

The judge’s decision is final in all cases. If there are insufficient entries in 

any one class, one or more prizes may be withheld. 

The judges are not obliged to award prizes where they think they are not merited.

Preserves (marmalade)

Jars with a threaded top should have a new twist top only. Jars with a plain rim should have a wax disc

 with cellophane cover. Jars should be filled to within 3mm of top.

Chutney

Should be at least 2 months old.Jars should be sealed with a new plastic lined 

screw top.

Lemon curd

Cellophane tops with a rubber band should be used.Wax discs should be an 

exact fit.

All jars must be labelled with content and day/month/year of making.

Jars and lids should not be branded in any way.

Prizes and Cups

You may enter more than one exhibit in a class, but you can only 

win one lot of prize money in that class.

Prize money in each class is as follows: 1st -£1.00, 2nd –75p, 3rd –50p.

Entering and Cut-off Times.  Entry to all classes is FREE

On-line entries from 31st March to 10th April by 7.30pm. 

Paper entry forms must be brought to the Village Hall on Friday 10th April 

between 6pm and 7.30 pm. 

Setting Up on the Day

Bring exhibits to the Village Hall on Saturday between 8.30am and 10.30 am.

You will be given an exhibitor’s card for each of your entries to place in the appropriate class section, with

your name facing down in preparation for

Judging at 10.30am when the hall will be closed

Please ensure you have the correct number or size of items for each class.

Late entries and amendments may be accepted at the discretion of the committee.

We respectfully ask that you do not remove your exhibits until after the 

awards presentation at 4.00pm
